New Version of Mail2Joomla Released - Mail2Joomla 2.0

Good News! The Developers at Van Eldijk have released a new version of Mail2Joomla, their popular Joomla component for posting via e-mail in Joomla CMS:

http://extensions.vaneldijk.nl/news/mail2joomla-2-is-here.html

The features include the ability to autopublish your e-mails immediately as Joomla articles whenever you send them.

One catch though, it's no longer free. They are selling the new version of this component for € 39 Euros (~ $53.14 US Dollars). I see this as a reasonable price for the new & improved component.

The only thing that bugs me is that they no longer have Mail2Joomla 1.0, the free version of Mail2Joomla, available for download from their website.

From their website, here is some more info on Mail2Joomla 2.0:

  • Read emails from your POP3, IMAP, POP3-SSL or IMAP-SSL email inbox and place them in Joomla! articles
  • Inline and attached images are also saved
  • Auto-publish your articles and place them on the frontpage
  • Allow only registered Joomla! users to send an email
For more info, check out the official Mail2Joomla website here:

4 Quick Ways to Build Traffic to your Website

1. Referrals - Build Incoming Links:

  • Get other sites to link to your site, possibly in exchange for you linking to them. (link exchange)
  • Post comments on blogs and forums, and include your website's URL as your website address. This will cause a text link to be added to your post that links back to your website. Make sure you use your site's keyword phrase as your "Name" for the comment post. (rather than your actual name)
2. Paid Advertising - Buy Targeted Traffic with Pay-Per-Click (PPC) Advertising:
  • Start doing PPC Advertising with the major search engines. Google, MSN, etc. You can target specific keywords, key phrases, geographic areas, etc. You can also set a specific daily or monthly maximum budget. As with all PPC ads, you only pay when someone clicks on your ad.
  • Advertise with PPC Ads on Facebook. You can target based on Country, City, Age Range, Sex, Interests, Marital status, etc. This means that you can show your ads to a very specific type of person.
3. Organic Traffic - Increase your traffic from search engines by creating more content
  • Start a blog with relevant content and make it part of your site
  • Set up a forum where your visitors can discuss the topic of your site
4. Article Marketing - Write articles on your topic to draw traffic
  • Write articles and send them to an article submission website. Put a link to your website in the "Author Bio" section at the end of the article. Use your site's keyword phrase as the text of the link. For more information on this method, see the great eBook by Jim Edwards called "Turn Words Into Traffic".

Generate a Tag Image with Your Own Text

I just found this free site that is called TinyTags. You can use this to generate a "tag" graphic with your own text on it:

http://wigflip.com/tinytags/

After you make the tag graphic, you can download it to your computer or save it to Flickr or ImageShack with a single click. TinyTags generates these images in PNG format.

To get different sized words, add linebreaks to your text in different places. If you want a line of text to be smaller, add spaces before and after that line of text.

Other options you can change are the size of the tag (small, medium, or large), the color of the tag (red, orange, green, blue, or pink), and the angle of the tag (tilt left, tilt right, or not tilted).
